Our Story

Established in 1999, Private Finance began as a one man operation in Hertfordshire with a vision of providing exceptional mortgage advice to private clients.

Since then, we have become one of the UK’s leading mortgage brokers, weathering multiple economic cycles and arranging billions of pounds worth of property finance in the process. Despite this vast growth, our founding values remain at the core of everything we do as a business – and we continue to strive relentlessly to provide our clients with the finest advice available on the market.

The fact that we receive such consistently glowing reviews – and that many of our clients choose to return to us decade after decade – is a testament to the unwavering client-first approach that has been preserved over the years.

Independent and Whole-of-Market Status

As an independent, whole-of-market mortgage broker, we offer expert advice on the entire range of mortgage products available in the UK. This includes mortgages from mainstream banks, as well as Private Banks and specialist mortgages from lenders who do not have a consumer-facing presence.

Unlike certain providers that have access to a limited panel of lenders, we have access to the entire market. We work with over 175 different lenders, ranging from small building societies to global banking brands. This provides our clients with access to a far greater range of options, placing our consultants in an optimal position to find the right mortgage product for each client.

We provide completely impartial, expert advice – clients can make well-informed decisions based on a complete picture of the lending landscape. Our team of experienced consultants is here to help find the best possible mortgage product available to you.
